The technique
The culmination of the development of local fat treatment is ASPIRE. This is an FDA approved, state-of-the-art Laser Body Sculpting system, which, in addition to destroying fat , also causes an impressive tightening of the skin. Indications- Contraindications
The operation is indicated for the treatment of local lipodystrophy (accumulated local fat), as well as for the mild to moderate relaxation of the skin.

The operation
A thorough preoperative examination is mandatory, as in any surgery.
Dr Otto performs the operation, using the sophisticated optical fibers of ASPIRE, through very small, almost invisible, incisions (2-3 mm), which are always made in places that are hidden in the natural creases of the body.
These optical fibers are extremely flexible and can follow the convex and concave anatomical lines of the body, giving access to even the most difficult areas, achieving a remarkably uniform result.
ASPIRE emits at two different wavelengths, one causing lipolysis another causing the connective tissue to shrink and thus tighten. Also, the heat that develops at the application sites cauterizes the vessels, thus minimizing bleeding and bruising.
Duration - Recovery
The whole operation lasts from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the size of the problem.
It is mostly performed under local anesthesia or, in some cases, in combination with sedation and does not require hospitalization.
If it is to be applied to large areas or in combination with other parts of the body, then general anesthesia is applied and an overnight stay in the hospital is required.
Postoperatively, at the sites of application, a special elastic bandage is used for 20-30 days. The duration of abstinence from daily activities can be, from 24 hours to 1 week.
Results
The reduction of local fat is immediately apparent. The tightening of the skin is finalized within 2-3 months.
