One of the most common neck problems is the excess fat below the chin (submental fat).
Using one of the most advanced Laser systems, we achieve sculpting of the neck in its proper anatomical proportions, restoring the differentiation between the lower jaw and the neck, eliminating the fat and tightening the skin.
The technique
This is ASPIRE, a state-of-the- art Laser-Body Sculpturing system which, in addition to destroying fat, also tightens the skin, as well as acting on the intermediate connective tissue, causing it to tighten. With ASPIRE, not only lipolysis of the submental fat is achieved , but also tightening of the skin surface.
Contraindications
Of course, as with any surgery, contraindication is the existence of medical problems, blood clotting conditions, infections or inflammation, as well as taking various medications (eg anticoagulants).
The operation
A thorough preoperative examination is mandatory, as in any surgery.
Dr Otto performs the operation, using the special optical fibers of ASPIRE, through 2-3 very small, almost invisible, incisions (2-3 mm).
These optical fibers are extremely flexible and can follow the anatomical lines of the neck, achieving a remarkably uniform result.
ASPIRE emits at two different wavelengths, one causing lipolysis another causing the connective tissue to shrink and thus tighten. Also, the heat that develops at the application sites cauterizes the vessels, thus minimizing bleeding and bruising.
Duration - Recovery
The whole operation lasts from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the size of the problem.
It is mostly performed under local anesthesia in combination with sedation and does not require a hospital stay.
Postoperatively, an elastic bandage is used on a 24-hour basis for 4 days. The bandage is then applied for another 2 weeks, at least 12 hours a day.
The duration of abstinence from daily activities can be up to 1 week.

Results
The reduction of the excess fat is immediately apparent. The tightening of the skin is finalized within 2-3 months.
