Otoplasty

Prominent ears are the most common indication of otoplasty.
The cause is the increased distance of the auricle from the skull.
The incision is hidden behind the ear and is virtually invisible.
After surgery, the patient wears an elastic bandage on a 24-hour basis for 5 days. The bandage is then applied for another 2 weeks for at least 12 hours a day and especially at night.

What else you need to know:

  • Swift operation performed under sedation and local anesthesia.
  • There is no pain (painless technique) and the patient with the use of an elastic band leaves for home right after the operation.
  • Weights and crouching should be avoided postoperatively.
Wash normally from the next day.
  • It will take 10 to 15 days to fully return to activities.
