Face-Lift

It is the ultimate weapon for erasing the signs of time from the face.
The type of surgery (mini-Lift, MACS-Lift, composite Lift) depends on the severity of the problem.

Purpose
The total treatment of wrinkles, sagging skin, loss of volume and downfall of the facial tissues.

Preoperatively
As before any surgery, a thorough clinical and lab examination is performed, as well as additional diagnostic examinations if necessary.

How the operation is performed
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia.
The incisions are limited and almost invisible. Only in cases of extensive relaxation do the incisions extend behind the ear.
Dr Otto does not use external sutures.

Recovery time
The patients remain in the hospital until the next morning.
Postoperatively, they wear a special elastic bandage for 24 hours and they may have drains (tubes) that are removed the next morning.
There is swelling and it is possible to have bruises under the eyes that usually last two to three weeks.
Postoperative pain is very seldom.
Resumption of activities, is advised after the 10th postoperative day.

What else you need to know:

• If necessary, face-lift can be combined with neck lift and / or eyelid surgery.
• Fat transfer may be needed to restore the lost volume.
• It is important for patients to know that in some cases the swelling is intense and the bruises are extensive. However, they eventually disappear and the result compensates them.
• Contraindications are the same as for any surgery. They have to do with the existence of medical conditions (cardiac, hematological, etc.) or taking various medications (eg anticoagulants).
